The medallion was found near the campuses of WITC and UW-BCC and this is the second year that Gavin followed the clues and won the contest.

Gavin elected to receive $1,000 cash for finding this year’s bug instead of a $2,000 savings bond. Gavin was presented a check on Sunday, June 20 at the Rice Lake City Park during the annual Aquafest contest award ceremony. RCU Rice Lake Branch representative-Mary Ann Dostal awarded the prize to Gavin. Gavin remarked that he would use the prize money to pay bills.

The Aquafest Committee would like to thank RCU for sponsoring the contest and local radio stations, WJMC, WKFX, and WAQE for airing the daily clues and DCS Netlink for posting the clues electronically.
